Transgender Family Planning
RSC is the leader in transgender family planning in New England.
We know that becoming a parent is a natural desire for most people. We are committed to providing quality medical care in a friendly, compassionate and inclusive environment for everyone.
We understand that the broad identifications of transgender and gender queer include many personal variations of gender expression, with and without changes in anatomy and hormonal chemistry.
For those who wish to have genetically related children at some point, and do alter their anatomy and hormones, consultation with a Reproductive Endocrinologist is advised and available at the Reproductive Science Center of New England. We can also provide certain assisted reproductive procedures and services for fertility preservation and can refer to appropriate resources for services we do not provide.
To have genetically related children, most options require assisted reproductive technologies involving insemination, ovarian stimulation and in vitro fertilization (IVF) and/or gestational surrogacy.
• Gametes (sperm or eggs) need to be preserved prior to hormonal therapy and/or surgical transition
• Financial planning is advised
