Lesbian and Transgender IVF with Donor Eggs and Surrogacy
Lesbian and F to M transgender IVF with donor eggs and surrogacy may be options for both older and younger women.
How are those movie stars in their late 40s and early 50s getting pregnant and having babies? It is highly likely they are using eggs from a donor and/or possibly having a gestational surrogate carry the pregnancy. These are common assisted reproduction treatment options for older women. But, a woman can need to use donor eggs and/or a surrogate even when age is not a factor.
Some women are born without or have an abnormally formed uterus or may have had their uterus removed due to disease, severe endometriosis or uterine fibroids. There are a number of reasons why a woman may not be able to successfully conceive, carry a pregnancy and give birth. In cases such as these, conception and birth of a baby require the use of donor eggs and/or a gestational surrogate.
